HARTFORD — The host Orioles fell to Menomonie, 4-3, as Ethan Hoffmann took a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles over Isaac Johnson. Alex Hoffmann and Jake Otto rallied for their No. 1 doubles win, 4-6, 6-1, 12-10, over Noah Reckin and Charlie Behrend.
Blake Bell and Sam Stachura battled past Oliver Patrick and Tristan Webb, 64, 7-6 (5), at No. 3 doubles for Hartford.
Slinger dropped a 6-1 dual to Menomonie. Dane Olsen defeated Andrew Busch, 7-6 (4), 7-5, for the lone win registered by the Owls. The two-day event continues today.
