Actor Tom Hardy, 45, who played the villain Bane in Christopher Nolan's third Batman movie, has already shown off his jiu-jitsu skills at various competitions.

Sometimes he has gone incognito, but it is impossible for him to hide now that he has become increasingly popular in the world of jiu-jitsu.

Having recently recorded victories in Wolverhampton and Milton Keynes, there is no doubt that the 'Venom' actor is quite good at the sport.

Over the weekend, although it cost him a black eye, Hardy won the gold medal at a tournament in Italy.

The actor was seen lifting an opponent and even turning around a very awkward situation when he was being subjected to a guillotine.
