Beyonce and Gucci team up on World Water Day to bring the precious resource to the children in East Africa
Thursday is World Water Day.
And Beyonce is doing her best to improve things for others.
Her BeyGood4Burundi initiative with UNICEF has partnered with Gucci and its Chime For Change Foundation to bring clean water to the children of Burundi in East Africa and prevent water-borne diseases.

The 36-year-old hitmaker launched her initiative with UNICEF in 2017 to support programs improving access to clean water and sanitation in the landlocked country.
In 2017 alone, 35 wells were constructed for the people of Burundi to use, according to Vogue UK on Thursday.

Now Gucci’s $1 million commitment to the project will help support UNICEF’s goal to build 80 more wells and give 120,000 more people access to clean water.
It also means girls will be able to go to school rather than risk attack walking hours to collect water for their families
Bey, whose estimated worth was over $350 million in 2017 according to Forbes, aims to reach 475,000 children and families through her BeyGood4Burundi by 2020.

She shares daughter Blue, six, and eight-month-old twins Rumi and Sir, with rapper-entrepreneur Jay-Z, 48.
Meanwhile, the whole family will be hitting the road for Beyonce and Jay-Z's On The Run II tour, which she announced last week on her website.
Kicking off on June 6 in Cardiff, Wales, the tour will stop in 15 cities across the U.K. and Europe, before visiting another 21 cities in North America, starting in Cleveland.
